State Police at Cortlandt received a complaint on Friday, June 8 of a suspicious person at the Kohl’s Store located at 3008 East Main Street in the Town of Cortlandt.
Loss Prevention advised that Jorge L. Valdovinos of Ossining was observed entering the store on several occasions, police said, adding Valdovinos proceeded immediately to the children’s shoes department, then appeared to be touching his genitalia over his pants while near children.
Later that evening, he returned to the store and exposed himself to children again. Witnesses were able to obtain a license plate, and the suspect was identified as Valdovinos.
Police charged Valdovinos with endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor, and public lewdness, a class B misdemeanor.
Valdovinos was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail or bond.
